The Amptec electric flow boiler is a perfect heating system for small flats and apartments with little space to spare. The output rating of 9 kW makes it suitable for wet central heating systems with around 7 radiators.
Why choose an electric boiler?
By burning fossil fuels, such as gas and oil, greenhouse gases are emitted into the atmosphere every time we heat our homes, which is a leading cause of climate change. Continuing to heat our homes with these fossil fuels simply isn’t sustainable and alternatives need to be found. One such alternative could be the electric boiler.
Electric boilers offer a number of benefits over gas and oil, including no emissions during operation and zero risk of a carbon monoxide leak.
How efficient is the Heatrae Sadia Amptec?
Amptec electric boilers have an efficiency rating of 99.8% which is incredibly efficient, especially when compared to gas and oil boilers which rarely achieve more than 93%. However, they’re given an ErP D-rating for heat which is lower than the A-rating given to gas and oil boilers.
The reason for this lies in the fact that electricity generation is currently a carbon intensive process as the majority involves burning fossil fuels. So, while using an electric boiler to heat your home won’t release carbon emissions, the generation process does. As the use of renewable sources (wind, solar and hydro) for electricity production continues to grow, we could soon see the ErP rating given to electric boilers increase.
Where can Amptec electric boilers be installed?
Thanks to incredibly compact dimensions of 1,050 x 90 x 90mm (HxWxD) the Amptec will take up very little space, making it easier to decide where to have it installed. In addition, electric boilers have no need for a flue (which expels waste gases) so can be installed onto internal walls.
Heatra Sadia recommends installing the 9 kW model in loft conversions, extensions conservatories, flats, apartments and garages.
What are the key features of the Amptec electric flow?
Heatrae Sadia Amptec electric flow boilers are compatible with wet central heating systems, including conventional radiators and underfloor heating. These are long thin units with a footprint of 90mm square so won’t take up too much space, are silent during operation, have no moving parts to extend life expectancy and are incredibly efficient.
The Amptec electric flow boiler range also includes output ratings of 4 kW, 6 kW, 11 kW and 12 kW, giving you plenty of options when it comes to finding a suitable system for your home.
How long is the warranty period?
Available with a 2 year parts and labour warranty as standard, your Amptec electric flow boiler will be well covered after being installed.
