The Amptec electric flow boiler has been manufactured and designed by Heatrae Sadia and is perfect for small flats and apartments with limited space and a wet central heating system. This 11 kW model is suitable for homes with around 7-8 radiators.
Why choose an electric boiler?
As the UK begins to turn its back on fossil fuels for home heating, our familiar gas and oil boilers could soon be replaced with greener alternatives. When fossil fuels are burnt, greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere which is a leading cause of climate change. Heating our homes in this way isn’t sustainable and will need to change to lower carbon emissions.
Electric boilers are a low-carbon alternative that don’t produce emissions during operation and have zero risk of a carbon monoxide leak.
How efficient is the Heatrae Sadia Amptec?
Amptec electric boilers have an efficiency rating of 99.8% and an ErP D-rating for heat. Gas and oil boilers rarely reach efficiencies above 93% yet are awarded an A-rating for heat which is a result of electricity generation being carbon intensive.
As the use of renewables (wind, solar and hydro) to generate electricity increases, we could see the ErP rating given to electric boilers increase.
Where can Amptec electric boilers be installed?
Thanks to their compact dimensions of 1,050 x 90 x 90mm (HxWxD), Amptec electric flow boilers take up little space, great for smaller homes. To make things even better, electric boilers don’t need a flue (which expels waste gases into the atmosphere) as electric boilers don’t produce these gases meaning that they can be installed onto internal walls.
Heatra Sadia recommends installing the 11 kW model in loft conversions, extensions conservatories, flats, apartments and garages.
What are the key features of the Amptec electric flow?
Amptec electric flow boilers are suitable for wet central heating systems, including radiators and underfloor heating. These are long thin units with a footprint of 90mm square so won’t take up too much space, are silent during operation, have no moving parts (which gives them a longer life) and are incredibly efficient.
The Amptec electric flow boiler range also includes output ratings of 4 kW, 6 kW, 9 kW and 12 kW, giving you plenty of options when it comes to finding a suitable system.
How long is the warranty period?
Available with a standard 2 year parts and labour warranty, you’ll be well covered by Heatrae Sadia after installation.
